John asked Holly to marry him in the mountains so when discussing a location for their engagement shoot, Cades Cove seemed perfect. We left really early and when we got there, the loop was closed to cars until 10am for bikers! Whoops! So we walked. And it was awesome. We didn’t make it around whole loop obviously, but in just the mile or so we walked, there were so many beautiful spots that I think we would have missed had we been in a car. It was really peaceful and quiet with the occasional “Good morning!” from the many bikers that came through. John and Holly love to be adventurous together and have spent many days hiking and exploring so they seemed very much in their element. Holly is so joyful, sweet and genuine and their love for each other is so evident. I enjoyed every minute and cannot wait for their July wedding!
- This was about 3 seconds after I asked them if they wanted to run. Holly ditched her shoes and they took off!
- Cades Cove is beautifully quiet (especially with no cars!) and we heard these horses before we could even see them. They galloped from one end of the pasture to the other. All three of us just stood and watched in awe!
- Holly is so beautiful!
